Is the free version really unlimited?
Yes. Register with an email address and every feature unlocks on files of any size, forever, on up to 2 devices. No card, no trial clock, no nag screen. The only thing it doesn't cover is commercial use.
How do I register?
Inside the app: Options → Activation, type your email, click Register. It unlocks on the spot and we email you the key in case you reinstall. Files up to 50 MB work without registering at all.
What counts as personal use?
Reading JSON files on a laptop you own, for your own projects, side-projects, school, OSS, or hobby work. The moment you're getting paid to wrangle that JSON, even tangentially, switch to a commercial license. We trust you to know which is which.
Why do you need my email for the free version?
It's how we tell one person's free license from a company quietly running fifty of them, and it's where the key goes so you can reinstall without losing it. We don't send marketing from it. See the privacy policy.
How does the commercial trial work?
14 days, full commercial licence, card taken up front. We email your key immediately and tell you the exact date you'll be charged. Cancel before then via the "Manage subscription" link in your confirmation email and you pay nothing.
Do I need the trial if I just want to look at a big file?
No — register the free personal licence instead. It's every feature at any file size, permanently. The commercial trial is for evaluating it at work, where the personal licence doesn't apply.
How do team licences work?
Pick your seat count at checkout. Each seat covers one person on up to 2 devices, so 10 seats unlocks 20 machines — all on a single key we email to whoever buys. Need per-person keys instead? Email us and we'll set it up.
Refund policy?
Within 14 days of purchase, no questions. Email us. Details in the refund policy.
Do I need to be online to use it?
No. The engine runs entirely on-device. License checks happen once when you register or activate, and about once a week after that — with a two-week offline grace window, so a flight or a VPN outage changes nothing.
When is Linux coming?
Linux is coming soon; email us for early access.
Can I use my license on multiple machines?
Yes. The free license covers 2 devices, and a commercial subscription covers 2 per seat. You can move a device from Options → Activation. The CLI honors the same license.
